Why Use BPC's Compost

If you are just learning about the benefits of compost or are a knowledgeable user and are considering purchasing some compost for current or future needs, you should seriously consider Bear Path Compost as your supplier. It's very important to understand that All Composts Are Not The Same

Bear Path Compost compost quality is excellent as noted by hundreds of repeat customers.
A compost nutrient analysis is annually prepared by the UMass Soil Lab.
Weed seeds are virtually non-existent because of the high temperatures achieved and the scheduled turning process.
The compost sold by Bear Path Compost is screened. Our unscreened compost still has a slightly coarser texture and is readily used as a soil amendment or a top dressing mulch around trees and shrubs or on perennial beds. For top dressing lawns a little extra raking is needed to remove the very small quantity of larger particles.

The coarser texture of Bear Path Compost compost both improves the porosity of the soil, when tilled in, and looks great as a top dressing mulch on perennial beds.
Bear Path Compost compost is far superior to bark mulch for mulching ornamental flower beds since it provides sufficient plant nutrients and is as effective as bark mulch at weed suppression.
Delivery options and service are excellent. Bear Path Compost provides very fast response to your inquiries and needs.
Small quantity users can serve themselves 7 days a week through our farm self-service program.
